I heard an interview someone had done with Deborah Conway, who Hessey had dated many years back -- he was known throughout as a larrikin, but she said he was prone to sudden and severe bouts of depression... I am deeply saddened. I was talking to Lindy earlier, and I cannot say enough how much his music has meant to me throughout the years. I was saddened to learn, not only of his death, but of the tragedy of his life. I turned Lindy onto them and since music is kind of my thing, she shared your insight into their name. To be honest, I had never considered the origin of their name before, but the moment I saw your response, I knew you had to be right. Now she wants me to do a post on the origin of band names. He doesn't know it yet, but I'm going to recruit my good friend shadowmusic into helping me come up with something lovely.
