(BTW: It's so great/inspired that you included that photo of your message board above your desk! My wishlists had been living in my PDA 'til I found RateYourMusic.com.) posted by: lindy (reply) post date: 03.18.05 (3:42 pm) Can you also point people toward that list say... around Christmas time? :) posted by: surrogate (reply) post date: 03.18.05 (5:59 pm) I need a way to remember to make lists of things about which I need to make lists. I don't lose things often, and it's rare that I leave the house without my wallet or keys (though a time I forgot to take my wallet with me on a walk was the subject of a post a couple of months ago), but I can't tell you how many times I've gone to the store, or library or even to a fast food drive through and forgotten why I was there. Sometimes I'll even give up and return to the house, knowing that the moment I pull in the driveway, I'll remember whatever it was I'd forgotten. I once sat in the parking lot of a home depot for fifteen minutes berating myself because I DID remember that I couldn't move forward with whatever I was working on without whatever it was I'd come to purchase, and still it took that long to figure it out. I dread growing older. posted by: rinna (reply) post date: 03.18.05 (6:40 pm) yanno, i was making a wishlist for my blog the other day and forgot all about it! thanks for the reminder!! posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 03.18.05 (6:48 pm) Reply to: shadowmusic I could never be a "PDA" person... far too organized for me. :) Thanks so much, as always, for pointing me in the right direction. BTW ~ I placed a link to YOUR wishlist on the left. I hope you don't mind. Say the word, and it's gone. xoxo j posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 03.18.05 (6:52 pm) Reply to: lindy Wow! GREAT idea... I'll just e-mail my list to everyone around Christmas and my b-day with the subject line "HINT!" :) posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 03.18.05 (7:05 pm) Reply to: surrogate I remember reading your sourcream doughnut and chocomilk post, as I recall. Good stuff. Thanks for stopping by! posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 03.18.05 (7:05 pm) Reply to: rinna Always glad to be of service! posted by: shadowmusic (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (7:36 am) Reply to: juniperflux Thanks for posting my CD wishlist.... for those interested, here's a list of the CD's that I'm interested in at least hearing, if not buying: http://rateyourmusic.com/user_albums/album_list_id_is_53767_and_list_type_is_wants_and_order_by_is_latest posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (8:51 am) Reply to: shadowmusic How is this different from the link I posted? j posted by: cmaze (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (9:26 am) Ok, so I just joined that site. So far haven't done anything with it, but I did view your wishlist! The two Cure albums you want are quite good, but nothing special. I think the self titled album is quite good...it sounds more like older Cure than Bloodflowers (an album I was fairly let down by). Mixed Up? Great album if you like electronic remixes, but not too electronic...still Cure. lol Rufus Wainwright, Nick Drake, Postal Service, and Death Cab for Cutie all great albums. However, there were only a few songs I liked from The Postal Service album. I have yet to get used to their sound. While it is nothing new to me, it sounds a bit too much like OK Go in some instances. Thats my two cents. :-) posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (9:48 am) Reply to: cmaze Maze, I actually have Mixed Up but it is scratched and I want a new copy. I do not have the self-titled Cure yet though. I've read lots of good reviews and I'm sure I will pick it up soon. If you make a wishlist of your own, be sure to share it! posted by: cmaze (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (9:52 am) Reply to: juniperflux Of course! How could I not? I'd be going against the laws of nature if I were to hold back. ;-) posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (9:53 am) Reply to: cmaze Oh, I think such a list would say TONS about you. I am holding you to the fire now, kiddo. MAKE A LIST, DAMN YOU! :) I dare ya! posted by: cmaze (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (9:55 am) Reply to: juniperflux IT BURNS!!! IT BURNS!!! I will, but I have to sit on it for a little bit first. Get the flavours... posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (9:57 am) Reply to: cmaze I understand, it took me forever. Let it marinate a bit. But when the soup is done, I definitely want a taste. j posted by: cmaze (reply) post date: 03.19.05 (9:58 am) Reply to: juniperflux My soup may be a little spicy for ya. ;-) |
