In Loving Memory...
02.20.05 (12:40 pm)   [edit]
Does anyone besides me remember Lloyd?

Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was a blogger named Lloyd. He of the double L's called his blog "The Llunch Counter" and basically, it was filled with a lot of Canadian jokes that I didn't understand, but every once in awhile Lloyd liked to play the mp3 shuffle game. Never heard of it? Well, it goes a little like this:
 1. Hit shuffle on your mp3 player.
 2. List the first 15 songs that come up, no matter how embarrassing they are.
 3. Laugh at everyone else's list -or-
 4. Quickly add new "cooler" mp3s to your collection.

To be honest, I don't know where Lloyd went. He was here one day, then he hit the road for greener pastures over at mblog - which not shortly thereafter - went belly up. (Coincidence?? I think not!)

Anyway, Lloyd ~ wherever you are ~ this one's for you:

juniperflux's first 15

 1. "Tishbite" by The Cocteau Twins
 2. "The Golden Age" by Beck
 3. "Sea of Doubts" by Azure Ray
 4. "Just Like Cockatoos" by The Cure (Yeah Cmaze!)
 5. "Hangman" by Led Zeppelin
 6. "Wanderlust" by Claire Voyant
 7. "Belong" by REM
 8. "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode
 9. "Sweet Talking Woman" by ELO (Yikes! How did *that* get in there???)
 10. "Poses" by Rufus Wainwright
 11. "Sweet Lemonade" by Monster Movie
 12. "Betting on Trains" by Hem
 13. "Particle Man" by They Might Be Giants
 14. "In My Heart" by Moby
 15. "Make A Circuit With Me" by The Polecats

Ok. I've shown you mine. Now you show me yours...

Tag! You're it!

OK, let's play again... "no whammies!" :-)

(1) Blow: "Faith Children"
(2) Beach Boys: "God Only Knows"
(3) Mirah: "Oh September"
(4) DJ Kool: "Let me clear my throat"

(7) Inspiral Carpets: "This is how it feels"
(8) T. Rex: "Ride a White Swan"
(9) Lucky Boys Confusion : "Breaking Rules"
(10) Features: "Blow it out"
(11) Ol' Dirty Bastard: "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" {sigh}
(12) Five Stairsteps: "Ooh Child"
(13) Q the Kid (from the "Drumline" soundtrack): "Been Away"
(14) Lightning Seeds: "Pure"
(15) Mascott: "Baby Go Away"

That list was a little more rap-centric than I expected (plus Blow & Mirah are both from the tiny label K Records), but overall, I'm kinda happy with how that it turned out. Enjoy!
